Indigo Blues is a musical project born from a commission by the Barcelona Blues Society to perform a single concert aimed at highlighting the lack of women instrumentalists on stage and showcasing those who have long held prominent positions in a strongly male-dominated scene. The success of that first concert and the chemistry among the six women led them to reunite on stage to recreate the magic and emotional explosion of that inaugural performance.

Ster Wax (vocals), Sweet Marta (harmonica and vocals), Memi Sillah (trumpet and vocals), Queralt Camps (double bass), Marta Urdiales (drums), and Miriam Aparicio "Sister Marion" (piano and vocals) share the spotlight in a dynamic and intense concert, full of power and sensitivity, enriched by the nuances brought by their diverse styles and temperaments.

Indigo Blues has performed at the Santako Blues Festival, Bilbao Blues Festival, Benicàssim Blues Festival, Sarria Blues No Camiño, Blues & Boogie Cycle in L'Hospitalet, Tolosandblues, Blues sur Loire, and more. They have also appeared on TV programs such as Punts de Vista and Cultures2 on RTVE’s La 2.
"(...) concerts like this one, led by six women with strong characters and emancipatory discourse, keep alive the legacy of empowerment left by African American female singers of the 1920s."

"After two jam pieces that began to show the soloists' potential, Ster Wax entered the stage. With her raw and visceral voice, she elevated the atmosphere, performing a stirring blues ballad and a feminist rock-and-roll anthem proclaiming: 'I'm a woman, I'm special, and I'm free.'” — Màrius Alfambra, L’Independent de Badalona, February 9, 2023.
