Gisele Jackson began her music career as a student at Howard University, performing with her first classic soul band on the Washington, D.C. stage. Before settling in Brooklyn, she toured as a "raelette" with Ray Charles during the height of her career, later accompanying legends such as the incomparable Donna Summer and her "godfather," James Brown.
Her career spans performances in over 18 countries across North America, Asia, Europe, and Africa. Gisele has graced the stages of premier jazz clubs across the USA and opened for artists like Tito Puente, Bette Midler, The Commodores, and B-52, among others.
Gisele has performed at Hollywood premieres, award ceremonies, and even on the big screen, singing in the film First Wives Club. Notably, she was also the featured performer at Bill Clinton's inauguration. Billboard magazine crowned her a diva following her worldwide hit "Love Commandments," a dance classic that soared to number 3 on the Billboard dance charts, cementing her status in house and dance music.
Her versatility extends to theater, where she has portrayed roles such as Effie in Dream Girls, Bessie in Life & Death of Bessie Smith, Evilene in The Wiz, Luttibelle in Purlie, and Frankie in Carmen Jones. On television, Gisele's charisma has shone through, including a global campaign for Johnnie Walker.
