Iván Bouchain is a professional tap and lindy hop dancer, teacher, jam host, and performer. He studied Musical Theatre at Coco Comín School (Barcelona, Spain) and received a scholarship in 2014 for the Tap Dance Program directed by Michelle Dorrance at Jacob’s Pillow (Massachusetts, USA).
He has performed and taught at major international tap festivals such as Tap On Barcelona, Harlem Festival (Lithuania), Oslo Tap Festival, Paris Tap Festival, Tiptap Festival (Poland), and Stockholm Tap Festival, among others. His artistic career has taken him to Italy, the Czech Republic, Belarus, Germany, Mexico, Qatar, and New York.
Currently based in Barcelona, Iván teaches at Swing Maniacs, Coco Comín, Soh-mi Dansa, and Luthier. He has appeared in swing events and TV shows such as Mira Quién Baila! and La Marató de TV3, and has performed in iconic venues including the Palau de la Música Catalana, La Pedrera, Hotel W, and the Maritime Museum of Barcelona.
As director of the companies W.O.T.O. and Sabor – Life is Rhythm, he has performed across Europe and Latin America, including at Théâtre Renaissance (Paris), Théâtre de la Ville (Valence, France), the Amplion Festival (Slovakia), and on a 2025 tour through Mexico.
Co-founder of the traditional Tap en la Ciutadella (since 2008), Iván has brought together dancers from over 20 countries, becoming a key figure in the Barcelona rhythm dance scene.
